The Trust continually monitors itself on how well it is performing in relation to its financial position, its governance arrangements and the safety and quality of services being provided. The Trust also undertakes a range of surveys and consultations to enable feedback from service users, carers and those interested in mental health to influence its development.

The Trust has a robust performance management framework and quality improvement strategy in place. From Board level to frontline services, scorecards are utilised containing indicators that monitor the areas of:

These are reviewed monthly by the Board, and appropriately across the Trust, including external scrutiny by our commissioners and a range of care forums. This approach has helped to systematically improve the quality of services.

The Trust's performance is monitored by the Department of Health and local commissioners.

The quality and safety of our services are monitored by the national regulator for health and social care the Care Quality Commission.
