Member get member winners
A huge 'thank you' to everyone who took the time to sign up new
members during the 'Member get Member' Foundation Trust
The final draw was held at the end of March with AWP's Executive
Medical Director and Director of Strategy and Business Development
Arden Tomison and staff side rep Sally Jeffrey.
The prize of £100 in shopping vouchers goes to Daniel McNally
from Swindon. Daniel works for independent group SUNS
(Service Users Network Swindon), who between them have submitted
nearly 60 forms during the Member get Member promotion.
He says, "I'm very supportive of AWP's FT bid as it's based on
the principle of working with the community."
This promotion may have drawn to a close but the ongoing efforts
of everyone to sign up new members are much appreciated.
The new FT recruitment team is also still out and about, helping us
achieve a really balanced membership reflecting the whole of our
area and with a good mix of ages. If you have any questions about
FT please contact the team on firstname.lastname@example.org
or 01249 468377 or 0800 694 9990.
The winner of our February Member get Member draw was Sally
Wood, AWP patient and public involvement project manager.
Sally wins £100 in shopping vouchers for her efforts in
recruiting friends and family as Foundation Trust members.
Sally, who lives in Chippenham, says, "I was delighted
to win and it will be fun thinking about what to spend
the money on.
"It was easy to take part, as I enjoy talking to people about
what we do and trying to challenge some of the
misconceptions they may have about mental
health. I ended up having some interesting conversations with
friends and family about the work of the Trust."
The winner of our Member get Member draw for January was
Ann Mooney, a service user and chair of the independent group SUNS
(Service Users Network Swindon). Her name was picked from the hat
by Julie Thomas, AWP's director for people.
Ann wins £100 in shopping vouchers and has chosen to put them
towards a pool table for SUNS.
Ann says, "It was great news to hear I'd won. I think it's
really important for people to get involved, especially service
users and carers, so I've signed up lots of members. Members will
be able to give their views about services and even stand for
election to the board of governors.
"We were already fundraising for a new pool table for our
drop-in club so the shopping vouchers are a fantastic boost."
Many thanks to everyone who has signed up new Foundation Trust
members. We want to build a broad membership reflecting the wide
and diverse communities we serve.
