AGM provides opportunity to promote good work
This year's annual general meeting reported on some important
developments for AWP...
The annual event was, as ever, broadcast across the entire Trust
region by video conference, allowing staff, service users, carers
and partnership colleagues to 'virtually' join in wherever they
After an opening welcome and look back at the past year by
Felicity Longshaw, Laura McMurtrie outlined the challenges and
opportunities ahead for the Trust. Paul Miller completed the first
segment of the event by detailing the financial position of the
Trust and the ongoing need to provide excellent care even when
budgets are constrained.
Following a short round of questions, the Trust's Colin Quick
revealed more details of the exciting new South West Veterans'
mental health service, which will provide support and expert help
for services personnel.
To finish the day, Alan Metherall promoted the MENCAP 'Getting
it Right' Charter, a set of nine pledges which we as a Trust are
committed to meeting.
