AGM provides opportunity to promote good work

This year's annual general meeting reported on some important developments for AWP...

The annual event was, as ever, broadcast across the entire Trust region by video conference, allowing staff, service users, carers and partnership colleagues to 'virtually' join in wherever they were.

After an opening welcome and look back at the past year by Felicity Longshaw, Laura McMurtrie outlined the challenges and opportunities ahead for the Trust. Paul Miller completed the first segment of the event by detailing the financial position of the Trust and the ongoing need to provide excellent care even when budgets are constrained.

Following a short round of questions, the Trust's Colin Quick revealed more details of the exciting new South West Veterans' mental health service, which will provide support and expert help for services personnel.

To finish the day, Alan Metherall promoted the MENCAP 'Getting it Right' Charter, a set of nine pledges which we as a Trust are committed to meeting.

The new Annual Review (nee Report) was made available to all attendees and is now uploaded to the Trust website. You may read or download it from this link.
