Reports published online highlight our performance
The key documents that show how we have performed, our
quality account 2011/12 and our annual report and financial
accounts 2011/12, are now available online.
Alongside these detailed reports and the associated appendices
and commissioning for quality and innovation (CQUIN) reports, we
have published a shorter annual review 2011/12 which summarises
key themes from the main documents.
Accessibility is important for us. We want as many people as
possible to have the opportunity to find out how we are performing.
With this in mind, for the first time this year we have produced an
extended special annual report edition of Ourvoice,
our magazine. This edition includes exclusive interviews with key
people - including acting chair Tony Gallagher and acting chief
executive Paul Miller - and features that shine the spotlight on
some key performance issues.
Ourvoice is popular with a broad audience including staff,
service user groups, carer groups and Trust members, so we felt it
would be an effective way of highlighting themes from the quality
account and annual report to more people in a more user-friendly,
lively and meaningful way.
We took the decision this year to publish our quality
account, annual report and financial accounts, and
accompanying annual review document online only. There are several
reasons for this, not least of which is our continuing effort to
reduce our impact on the environment. A further benefit, of course,
and something that we must always consider, is a reduction in
costs. We also have a new website which is much easier to navigate
and is helping us to communicate more effectively. Much of the
information that would traditionally have been available in an
annual report is already available on our site, so we did not need
to replicate it in a lengthy printed document.
We do recognise that accessing the reports electronically will
not be ideal or possible for everyone. A small number of printed
copies of Ourvoice are available in the
reception areas at all our sites and on request and we are happy to
print out the annual review or other information from our website
on request.
If you have any feedback on our quality account, annual report
and financial accounts and our annual review, or comments about our
new approach to publishing them, or if you require us to print
information, please contact us.
