Laura McMurtrie

Following more than six years as chief executive at AWP and a career spanning 35 years in public service, Laura McMurtrie has retired from the service to pursue a range of different interests.

Interim Trust chair Tony Gallagher acknowledged the contribution that Mrs McMurtrie had made in building an organisation that was financially sustainable, developing specialist strategic business units and establishing a Trust wide governance system.

Mr Gallagher said that AWP would now start a process of recruiting a new chief executive with the skills and experience to take the Trust forward.

Mrs McMurtrie said:  "I would like to thank all staff for their commitment, hard work and support during the past six years and I wish them every success for the future."
