Carers urged to give their views

Carers are being asked for their views on AWP in the latest regular survey.

Results of the last survey carried out in the summer show AWP is improving its work with carers in a number of areas, however some aspects need further development.

There were improvements in the number of carers feeling their views are taken into account when planning care and the number receiving information via the carers' pack and Patient Advice and Liaison Service leaflets.

Other areas showed some improvement but with more work still to be done, including the number of carers receiving an out of hours contact number and those being given an explanation of what is meant by the word carer.

Introduced last year, carer surveys are conducted twice a year to help the Trust track carer experience and assess the effectiveness of improvements.

The carers' survey is being repeated now and is available to complete by clicking here.
