Step on over to STEPs
The team at STEPs
eating disorders service is throwing open the doors for an open day
on Thursday 7 March.
The open day is to celebrate their new home and some exciting
new service developments. Everyone is welcome to drop in between
2pm and 5pm for a cuppa and a tasty treat from the cake sale being
held by service users in support of B-eat and Comic Relief.
The STEPs team will be on hand to show visitors around their new
facilities and to tell people about eating disorders, their
inpatient, community and new primary care services, and exciting
research that the team is leading, and there will be displays about
different aspects of the service.
Angie Jakubowska, who heads up STEPs, said, "We're so delighted
with our new facilities, we really want to show them off and tell
people about the a huge difference they have made to our culture
and the way we work. We also want to give people an opportunity to
find out more about the signs and symptoms of eating disorders, the
impact they can have and the help that is available from STEPs, our
new primary care eating disorders service, and also from other
organisations. Everyone - whether a health professional or member
of the public - will be very welcome to visit us on Thursday."
STEPs is in Clifton Building at Southmead Hospital - located
behind Gloucester House and AWP's adult mental health wards. The
team are looking forward to welcoming you on Thursday afternoon any
time between 2 and 5.
