Trust 'highly commended' at HSJ Awards
has been highly commended in the Board Leadership category of the
prestigious Health Service Journal Awards.
The award reflects the changes made in our Trust over the past
18 months and were captured in a short film which formed part of
the Trust's award submission.
The film focused on the changes arising from the highly critical
Sutherland report published in June 2012 which resulted in a change
in the senior leadership team and the Fit for the Future programme
of organisational change. The degree of change undertaken in the
Trust was highlighted when Sue Sutherland conducted a follow up
report and concluded earlier this year that the Trust was
"completely different and unrecognisable from previous visits in a
very positive way."
Chief executive Iain Tulley said: "We are pleased to have
received this external recognition which reflects the hard work and
commitment of staff across the Trust in implementing significant
change. It is an endorsement of our direction of travel and an
acknowledgement that we have further to go.
While pleased that our Trust is starting to be recognised
