Information events for would-be governors

Find out what the role of a Foundation Trust governor involves at one of the events AWP is hosting over the coming weeks.

The events take place in October ahead of the Governor elections in 2014 and are aimed at members who are considering standing for election. They will provide information on the procedures and requirements of the election process as well as what is expected of governors once they have been elected.

Governors will be elected by, and will become the voice of, our members. They are vital in ensuring the communities we serve have their say about the mental health and wellbeing services in their area, and in ensuring that the views of our members are considered in decisions about how the Trust spends its money and develops its services.

The events will feature presentations and there will be plenty of opportunities for members to ask questions and raise ideas and observations about the Trust and the way in which governor involvement can improve mental health services provided.

If you wish to attend any of the events please contact the FT membership team on Freephone 0800 694 9990 or by email to awp.foundationtrustinfo@nhs.net to book a place. Refreshments will be provided.
