Memory Research Register

Memory Research RegisterMemory Research Register goes live

AWP Research and Development are delighted to announce launch of the Memory Research Register (MRR) on Tuesday 4 February.

Joining the register allows people with memory problems and carers to express an interest in taking part in research and to give their permission for a member of the register team to contact them about suitable studies.

People have a choice about taking part  in any of the studies offered and can withdraw from the register at any time.

AWP is piloting the Memory Register in the Bristol area, before rolling it out to the South Gloucestershire, Swindon, BANES, North Somerset and Wiltshire. Although work is beginning in Bristol, people from anywhere in Avon and Wiltshire can join the register.

Project Officer Ali Hodges says: "The register will enable people with memory problems and their families to be involved in high-quality research and be given opportunities to access new therapies and treatments.Over the coming weeks, we will be visiting local service user groups to discuss the register."

AWP is hosting and running the register along with the West of England Academic Health Science Network (WoE AHSN) and members of Bristol Health Partners.
