Senior advisors from the Royal College of Nursing spoke highly of Bristol's Criminal Justice Liaison Services (CJLS) after a day's visits.

Fiona Banes, Acting Manager of the Court Assessment Referral Service was delighted to greet Ian Hulatt, RCN Health Advisor and Ann Norman, Criminal Justice and Learning Disability Advisor and Thomas Metcalf, RCN trainee editorial assistant last week.

Having enjoyed a presentation from team leader, Rich Evans, at the CJLS hub at Corum Park, Warmley, the RCN team then spent  time with Pauline Dean, the duty worker for the day.  Fiona then escorted Ian and Ann on visits to HMP Bristol, Trinity Road Police Station, and Bristol Magistrates Court to meet some of the practitioners working from those locations.

Ann Norman said, "We were totally impressed by the commitment and dedication of you all in doing the very best for the people you care for. It is quite clear to see how you have generated such positive attention to your services."

Fiona Banes added, "It was a pleasure to showcase the Service to the RCN. It is always great when people show an interest in our services especially when they are services of which AWP can be rightly proud. Thanks to the support of our Commissioners, Police and Court Colleagues, the Trust and to the dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic team that make up the CARS."
