Celebrating diversity not division

Two events are taking place in Bristol this month to bring people from different communities together.

Come Together Saturday 14 February 1pm

This Saturday, at 1pm the wider communities of Bristol are invited to come together on College Green for an hour to celebrate the multi cultural diversity of Bristol.

People of different communities will be encouraged to share stories of common humanity and appreciation of each other and to post selfies together on line at #1bristol. There will also be a minute's silence for all victims of violence around the world.

Everyone is welcome at this event which is all about communities standing together and showing unity in their diversity.

Diverse Doors Open Day Sunday 22nd February

Sixteen places of worship across Bristol will be opening their doors to the public on Sunday 22 February.

You can visit as many or as few as you wish throughout the day.

Six of the venues form a designated Faith Trail, with guided tours and talks taking place at specific times.

You can follow the Faith Trail in a specially provided 'trail bus', at a cost of £5, or, follow it in your own transport, either selecting a few places of worship to visit or doing the whole trail.

The event, organised by Bristol Multi-Faith Forum and supported by Bristol City Council, is a great opportunity to experience different faiths and places of worship.

For more information or to book a place on the bus, visit the Bristol Multi-Faith Forum website
