January Team of the Month

JanTOTM_250Congratulations to the Wiltshire Acute team, who  have been voted as AWP's January Team of the Month!

Every month, managers and staff in AWP gather to hear about the great work being done by teams across the trust and to vote on nominations from  each locality.

Up for the January title were:

Swindon - Memory Services for achieving tough targets set by the CCG, and being praised by the CCG to NHS England for doing so.

Wiltshire - Acute services for the wards and intensive teams' ongoing work in highly challenging circumstances with staff staying positive and responsive.

Bath and North East Somerset - IAPT service (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) - for achieving rapid improvement and high recovery rates while under huge pressure and scrutiny.

Specialised- Veteran service for being consistently high performers and for developing a new trauma-based service for staff.

Secure - the Quality and Performance Team - a new team that has played a key part in the lifting of the CQC notices lifted and has created new, easy to use  IT  systems to allow managers to see how teams are performing.

Bristol - the 136 suite place of safety team. This was set up a year ago with a complex commissioning arrangement and has therefore had to display great flexibility and responsiveness. They receive consistently high levels of praise from police, service users and families.

North Somerset - Juniper Ward , which has maintained standards and pride in what they do while building work has been going on and had excellent feedback from the CQC.

Corporate Services - Finance - for giving extraordinary support to operations staff and for making the way we manage our money straightforward and simple.

And the winners were….Wiltshire acute team!

Interim Wiltshire Clinical Director Liz Hardwick says: "The acute teams have faced relentless pressure for a period of months and have stayed incredibly positive. They really deserve this recognition."

Iain Tulley Chief Executive congratulated all the teams who were nominated saying: "These are all truly fantastic achievements."
