January Team of the Month
Congratulations to the Wiltshire Acute
team, who have been voted as AWP's January Team of the
Every month, managers and staff in AWP gather to hear about the
great work being done by teams across the trust and to vote on
nominations from each locality.
Up for the January title were:
Swindon - Memory Services for achieving
tough targets set by the CCG, and being praised by the CCG to NHS
England for doing so.
Wiltshire - Acute services for the wards and
intensive teams' ongoing work in highly challenging circumstances
with staff staying positive and responsive.
Bath and North East Somerset - IAPT
service (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) - for
achieving rapid improvement and high recovery rates while under
huge pressure and scrutiny.
Specialised- Veteran service for being
consistently high performers and for developing a new trauma-based
service for staff.
Secure - the Quality and Performance Team - a
new team that has played a key part in the lifting of the CQC
notices lifted and has created new, easy to use IT
systems to allow managers to see how teams are
Bristol - the 136 suite place of safety team.
This was set up a year ago with a complex commissioning arrangement
and has therefore had to display great flexibility and
responsiveness. They receive consistently high levels of praise
from police, service users and families.
North Somerset - Juniper Ward , which has
maintained standards and pride in what they do while building work
has been going on and had excellent feedback from the CQC.
Corporate Services - Finance - for giving
extraordinary support to operations staff and for making the way we
manage our money straightforward and simple.
And the winners were….Wiltshire acute team!
Interim Wiltshire Clinical Director Liz Hardwick says: "The
acute teams have faced relentless pressure for a period of months
and have stayed incredibly positive. They really deserve this
