A civic reception for Fresh Art@

Fresh art@ receptionFollowing the successful exhibition at the Bath Fringe Arts Festival, Councillor Ian Gilchrist held a civic reception at the Guildhall in Bath last week, to honour the Fresh Art@ team.

This event celebrated not only the inspirational work that has been created, but the journey taken by of all the artists involved with the program.

Fresh Art@ is a group that supports people with mental health issues, using art as a support structure. The group is run jointly by our Trust and Creativity Works.

This project was developed with the idea that creativity can make a significant difference to people's lives by inspiring and supporting them to have fun and be creative. Working with Creativity Works artists, Trust art therapists and volunteers, this project has enabled participants to realise their creative potential, increase independence and create routes to education and employment.

Fresh Art@ is open to service users, carers and staff who work within out Trust. If you would like to be involved or find out more, please contact Fresh Art@ Worker Nathaniel Burgess on nathaniel.burgess@nhs.net

You can view the Fresh Art@ exhibition at the Guildhall. The exhibition is free to enter and will run until 11 August 2015.
