Fresh Arts@ the fringe

Fresh arts@ the FringeArtwork created as part of this year's Fresh Arts@ project is to be exhibited at the Fringe Arts Festival in Bath.

This exhibition will showcase new, original and stimulating artwork that has been created by people who have been affected by mental health. The artwork is inspired by workshops held in the Holburne Museum, No 1 Royal Crescent, The American Museum & Sycamore Ward, Hillview Lodge, and run in partnership with Creativity Works, Sirona & Bath Museums.

The project this year has so far produced 30 pieces of artwork which, after the festival, will be displayed on the walls of Bath NHS House.

You can see the Fresh Art@ exhibition at Bath Artists Studio, The Old Malthouse, Comfortable Place, Bath BA1 3AJ from 22 May - 6 June, 11am - 4pm. Entrance is free.

Fresh Art@ was the brainchild of a former service user Nathaniel Burgess, who came up with the idea of creating new, original, stimulating pieces of art work as a kind of 'give back' scheme.

The Fresh Art@ Hillview Lodge project was very successful. It resulted in more than 60 pieces of art work being produced, which now adorn the walls of Sycamore Ward and other areas at Hillview Lodge. This year we hope the project will be just as successful and we look forward to seeing the new artwork at the exhibition.
