Wishing one a very happy birthday

The wards at the Victoria Centre held a street party on Wednesday for the Queen's 90th birthday.

queenbirthday_250Guests enjoyed a brilliantly British themed party decorated with union jacks and lots of fantastic party food, including a corgi chocolate role. There was even a magician that amazed everyone and dazzled the crowds with his tricks!

Staff and service users were also treated to a visit by singer/songwriter Emily Maguire. Emily has been a long-time friend of the Trust, often performing for staff and service users and talking openly about her own journey into psychosis and depression and the hope and poetic beauty that can emerge from the other side. You can visit Emily's website to find out more about coming shows and her latest albums.

Administration Manager Julie French said, "It was a fantastic day which was thoroughly enjoyed by the service users and staff. Everyone enjoyed the songs and the lovely traditional English picnic food."

Congratulation to the teams at the Victoria Centre for putting on a great party that was fit for a queen
