Walking on sunshine

Walking on sunshineBristol Active Life Project (BALP) walkers were joined by the Lord Mayor of Bristol Councillor Clare Campion-Smith, to celebrate a walk for mental health in this year's Bristol Walk Fest.

The harbour side walk took in views of the Mathew and Underfall Yard with a refreshment stop in the sunshine at Brunel Buttery.

People who took part described the event as interesting, stimulating and great fun.

BALP promotes recovery by engaging individuals with mental illness in a range of community-based physical activities.

Find out more about the weekly walks and other activities on the BALP page.

The next BALP event is the Food and Movement Day, which takes place on Friday 10th June and includes a taster walk, walking football, refreshments and information on nutrition.
