Proud to be in print

Proud to be in printThe AWP Arts Psychotherapies service is proud to be part of a newly published Medical Psychotherapy book titled Medical Psychotherapy (Oxford Specialist Handbooks in Psychiatry).

The book contains chapters by three AWP staff about the clinical uses of the Arts Psychotherapies of music, drama and art.

The three authors are Nick Hayman Music Psychotherapist (Bristol In patient Service); Cathy Goodwin Drama Psychotherapist (Fromeside) and Marilyn Miller former art psychotherapist (Bristol Complex Psychological Intervention team).

Fiona Williams Manager of Bristol Inpatient Arts Psychotherapies Service says, "Nick Cathy and Marilyn were approached by Consultant James Johnston who uses the arts to think about his clinical work, to contribute to this publication. This is an exciting achievement and is testimony to their knowledge and expertise and the calibre of staff we have working in AWP."

Marilyn Miller has since retired but was with AWP at the time of writing her abstract.
