It's Time to Talk!
Thursday 2 February is Time to Talk
Day and we're asking you to join in.
The more we talk openly about our mental health, the less we
will feel isolated, ashamed and stigmatised by our mental health
experiences. Reducing stigma will help more people to take a more
positive approach to mental wellbeing.
Time to Talk Day comes from the brilliant team at the Time
to Change campaign, which is all about challenging mental
health stigma. The aim of the day is to get the nation talking
about mental health around the clock, giving us all a chance to
talk and listen about mental health.
The Time to Talk Day team has produced some great downloadable
resources including tip cards, conversation starters and graphics
for sharing on social media. You can peruse and download the full
range of resources on the Time to Talk Day
Please use the resources to inspire your own conversations with
friends, family, colleagues, service users and carers, and help
spread the word on social media by sharing our posts on the AWP
Facebook and Twitter accounts - or you can post your own positive
messages encouraging your friends to talk about mental health.
Happy Time to Talk Day!
