30 March 2017
Come and help us celebrate!
AWP is celebrating people who have
learning disabilities and their achievements with a fun packed day
of art, music and creativity.
AWP Learning Disabilities services
will be hosting this special event on Friday 16 June 2017 from 11
am until 4pm at The Trinity Centre, Trinity Road, Bristol, BS2 0NW.
The celebration day is aimed at people
who have learning disabilities, their families and carers as well
as those who work to support them.
With the help of local services and
providers such as Bristol City Council, Brandon Trust, Wiltshire
Music Centre and others that work with people with learning
disabilities, we will host a day of fun, creativity and inspiration
with performances, workshops and information stalls. You can see the flyer
How can you get involved?
- Come and enjoy the day out or just pop in and say hello.
- Help out on the day: we need lots of volunteers to help make
this event a success.
- Bake a Cake to help us fundraise on the day.
The event will also mark Learning
Disability Awareness Week which runs from 19- 25 June, and this
year celebrates the vital role friendships and
relationships play in people with a learning disability being
included in society. There will also be details available of other
events happening during this week.
