Made for mental health

madeformhTo celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week (8-14 May) Headlight Mental Health Charity is offering free workshops to people affected by mental ill health in Bath and the surrounding areas. Being held at The Makery (Beau Nash House, 19 Union Passage) on Thursday 11 May, the workshops will offer a range of craft activities to promote creative therapy for wellbeing.

We're taking the concept one step further by opening a pop-up shop in Bath selling the products that have been made for mental health. The shop will be themed around promoting wellbeing, with all products for sale encouraging self-care. They will also all have been hand-crafted by AWP service users and staff!

Where: 7 New Bond Street Place, Bath (near Milsom Street)

When: 25-27 May (10:00 -17:00)

What: Selling a beautiful range of high-quality and hand-crafted items made by service users and staff

We are very grateful to Bath & North East Somerset Council who have kindly offered the premises for us to open our pop up shop. We hope that it will prove very popular, raising awareness of mental health and also funds for our charity with all the money raised going Headlight Mental Health Charity (the new name for Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust Charitable Fund)

We would like to encourage staff, friends and partners of AWP to support this initiative and our charity. We are grateful for any donations of hand-crafted items that we can sell in the shop, as well as any offers to volunteer for a shift! If you can help with either of these, please email tia.shortall@nhs.net

We hope that you will stop by and buy!
