Mental Health Trust makes Top 50 employers list
Avon and Wiltshire Mental
Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust is delighted to have been named
as one of the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers.
The Trust, which provides inpatient and community-based mental
health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset,
Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and
Wiltshire, has been ranked at number 36 in the list.
This is an improvement in the position in 2017 when it was
ranked in 45th place.
Chief Executive for AWP, Dr Hayley Richards, said: "I am
delighted that the Trust has improved its position from 2017. We
have been working hard to ensure that equality, inclusion and
diversity are at the centre of everything we do.
"This week we signed the Bristol Equality Charter and in July
this year we were awarded a bronze award from the Employer's
Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI), demonstrating that we
value our work to create an inclusive and fair working
"We strive to treat our staff and service users, carers and
families as individuals, respecting and promoting their rights,
equality and dignity and this recognises the progress we are making
in our work."
The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers is a list of UK based
organisations that promote inclusion across all protected
characteristics, throughout each level of employment within their
