Mental Health Trust signs Bristol Equality Charter

Julian Signing

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust is proud to be one of the signatories of the newly launched Bristol Equality Charter.

Organisations across the city, including AWP, have been working together over several months to develop a collective agreement to promote the values of equality, diversity and inclusion in Bristol.

The Bristol Equality Charter was officially launched at an event at 'M Shed' on Monday 12 November.

The charter outlines a set of pledges to support creating a fairer, safer, accessible and inclusive city.

AWP's Director of Human Resources, Julian Feasby, signed the Charter on behalf of AWP and said: 'I am delighted to sign the Charter on behalf of AWP Mental Health NHS Trust. Just like all signatories we are passionate about ensuring we continue to build on our diversity and inclusivity in a collaborative way with other, Bristol-based organisations."

Anyone can sign up to the principles of the Bristol Equality Charter for free - including individuals and any type of organisation. Signing the charter is a voluntary action to promote and work towards equality in Bristol. Organisations are free to set their own specific priorities and goals for improvement - it is not an accreditation scheme or an award system.
