BASS post-diagnostic services are available to adults and their families in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES who have been formally diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We need a diagnostic assessment report to be provided to us prior to a first appointment at the advice services so we can allocate our time in the most appropriate way. This is because we have limited resources available.

The formal diagnostic assessment need not have been carried out by BASS, but in order to protect a limited resource we expect there to be evidence of a comprehensive and robust diagnostic assessment in line with NICE guidelines.

If no report is available, the individuals can be referred for a diagnostic assessment with BASS by their GP.

We offer one to one appointments to meet with a member of staff to support you with issues such as:

  • Housing
  • Education
  • Relationships
  • One-to-one job coaching
  • Managing emotions
  • Learning more about autism
  • Signposting to other services
