CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – 2nd July 2020: All face-to-face BASS services are suspended until further notice. This includes all clinic appointments, training events, groups and advice services. A telephone and email service to support autistic adults and staff working with them is available. Please click this link for further information.
We recognise that this is a difficult time for many of the people we support. In order to help we have produced some useful resources which can be found here.
We run advice services for adults with autism diagnoses in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
Bristol autism advice service runs every Friday from 12 - 4pm at the Create Centre, Spike Island. It is open to people with autism spectrum conditions who live in the area.
BaNES autism advice service runs every Wednesday afternoon from 1.00 - 5.00pm at the Percy Community Centre, Bath.
North Somerset autism advice service runs twice a month on a Thursday, from 1 - 3pm at Stables Creative Hub BS23 1JY, Weston-super-Mare.
South Gloucestershire autism advice service runs on Friday afternoons from 1.30 - 4.00pm at the Armadillo Cafe, Yate.

BASS post-diagnostic services are available to adults and their families in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES who have been formally diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We need a diagnostic assessment report to be provided to us prior to a first appointment at the advice services so we can allocate our time in the most appropriate way. This is because we have limited resources available.
The formal diagnostic assessment need not have been carried out by BASS, but in order to protect a limited resource we expect there to be evidence of a comprehensive and robust diagnostic assessment in line with NICE guidelines.
If no report is available, the individuals can be referred for a diagnostic assessment with BASS by their GP.
