Board membership

The Trust Board is made up of: 

• A non-executive chair plus six other non-executive directors, all of whom have voting rights. The chair and the non-executive directors are appointed for fixed lengths of time by the Secretary of State for Health, usually for four years at a time up to a maximum of 10 years. • Eight executive directors, five of whom have voting rights. The chief executive and executive directors are appointed on permanent contracts, but can tender their resignation to the Trust Board at any time. To find out about our executive directors visit the Executive Directors page.
