We have an open and accountable approach to our activities and publish as much of the information we hold regarding our official activities.

Regulated by the Freedom of Information Act of 2000 (FOIA) we have a Guide to Information that describes all the classes of information we hold. This provides immediate online access to many of the official documents the Trust holds. Visit our Classes of information page to find out what information is already available online.

Although some confusion has arisen around the FOIA, service users and carers should be assured that their personal information is not available through the FOIA, and that nobody can successfully obtain access to their Health and Social Care Records using an FOI request.

Service users wishing to view their own Health and Social Care Records can do so by making a ‘Subject Access Request’ under the Data Protection Act 1998.  Ask your care co-ordinator for further information or visit our Privacy and Confidentiality page.

If you would like more information about data protection and freedom of information please visit the Information Commissioner's website.
