Learning disabilities inpatient services

The Daisy Unit is a hospital for adults, mainly from Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire, who have a learning disability, autism or both.

If you, or someone you care for, are admitted to The Daisy, our multidisciplinary healthcare team provides support if you have been in an out-of-the-area specialist setting and are returning to your local community. We can also offer specialist support if you have become unwell. For example, you may have co-occurring mental health problems, or become so distressed that you are no longer able to cope, even with your usual strategies, supports and interests.

We place everybody we support, including families and carers, at the centre of our care at The Daisy. We share expertise, interests and use therapeutic approaches, helping you to be discharged to the best independent living setting for your needs.

Our team works together in partnership with voluntary, social care and healthcare partners to keep local people in their home area.
