Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)
We provide child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. These are community teams that help children and young people with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.
CAMHS includes specialist teams to help with learning disabilities, self-harm, substance and alcohol misuse, sexual behaviour (Be Safe), eating disorders and supporting children in care (Thinking Allowed)
Our CAMHS services in Bristol and South Gloucestershire are part of the Community Children's Health Partnership (CCHP) which includes all community-based children's healthcare services across the area. CCHP is provided by a partnership including Sirona care & health (lead partner), Bristol Community Health CIC, AWP and Barnardo's.
Full details of our CAMHS services are included on the CCHP website.
Riverside Unit is AWP's 10-bed mental health inpatient unit for young people in Fishponds, Bristol.
The Riverside team also provides a day service for young people and works closely with our community CAMHS teams and the rest of the Community Children's Health Partnership in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Information about Riverside, including a floor plan and video tour made by young people and Barnardo's, is hosted on AWP's behalf on the CCHP website.
