This six-week course may be beneficial for patients seeking support in managing their diabetes more effectively, either directly eg. Anxiety or low mood about their diabetes, or indirectly eg. Their anxiety or low mood impacting their ability to manage diabetes.

This is an online taught course, run in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part.

This course will run for 6 sessions held on a Tuesday Evening, starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm.

This course will be running on:

  • Session 1: 10th of October from 6-8pm
  • Session 2: 17th of October from 6-8pm
  • Session 3: 24th of October from 6-8pm 
  • Session 4: 31st of October from 6-8pm 
  • Session 5: 7th of November from 6-8pm
  • Session 6: 14th of November from 6-8pm

  • Values and goals
  • Managing stress
  • Emotional eating
  • Strategies to help with difficult thoughts
  • Helpful ways of communication & gaining support
  • Sleep, concentration & memory
  • Mindfulness and relaxation

Internet access is required and you will need to use Microsoft Teams to access this course.

Important information: This course will be run via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download or pay for this. The link will be sent to you prior to the course, where you can enter as a guest. Clear instructions will be sent to you in advance.  You will need to provide an e-mail address and have internet access with a microphone and be in a private space.

This course is open to people who are registered with a GP in the Wiltshire area.
