This course will be running on:

  • Session 1: 6th November, 2pm – 4pm

  • Session 2: 13th November, 2pm – 4pm

  • Session 3: 20th November, 2pm – 4pm

  • Session 4: 27th November, 2pm – 4pm

  • Session 5: 4th December, 2pm – 4pm

  • Session 6: 11th December, 2pm – 4pm

This is an online taught course, run in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part. We do encourage cameras to be turned on during sessions, however this is not obligatory for attendance if this is not possible for any reason.

Topics covered include:

  • How our thoughts and behaviours can influence how we feel, and why we may experience low mood or depression
  • How to delay compulsive behaviours and overcome urges.
  • Education on how anxiety can build if left unchallenged and how to effectively, and gradually, overcome anxiety producing experiences and objects
  • Relaxation and mindfulness techniques to help you regulate your emotions
  • Education on how to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and how to challenge these.

Important information: This course will be run via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download or pay for this. The link will be sent to you prior to the course, where you can enter as a guest. Clear instructions will be sent to you in advance.  You will need to provide an e-mail address and have internet access with a microphone and be in a private space.

This course is open to people who are registered with a GP in the Wiltshire area.
