Our acute admissions wards offer assessment and treatment for adults of working age, from 18 to 65 years.
The teams on each ward provide care to adults recovering from a mental health crisis who need urgent treatment. The acute wards will also support a service user’s recovery by developing relapse prevention plans and offering advice and support.
All requests for admission to our acute wards are made to the local intensive team for an assessment. When you, or a person you care for, are admitted to hospital, the intensive team and the ward team work together to provide information and an explanation about how hospital admission will support your recovery.
We aim to care for you on a ward local to where you live. However, to ensure we can provide treatment without delay, you may be admitted to a bed in any appropriate site within the Trust.
All our acute wards are listed within each location below with details of the maximum number of beds on each ward. The number of available beds can change depending on certain circumstances, for example COVID-19 restrictions.
