New Horizon Mother and Baby Unit is a 4-bed South West regional service providing treatments and interventions to meet the physical and mental health needs of mothers and their infants. Our 24-hour inpatient service supports, assists and supervises each mother to help develop the relationship with their infant.
Our team supports the partner and wider family, helping to signpost them to appropriate services. We also offer advice and liaison to professionals working with women in other settings in the perinatal period, which covers the time from conception to the infant’s first birthday.
Women can be admitted to New Horizon Mother and Baby Unit from 32 weeks of pregnancy, and we are available for emergency admission.
