Local people are being reminded of the mental health services and resources available to them, no matter what level of support they may need.

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is the main provider of specialist mental health, learning disabilities and autism services across the South West. It has recently introduced a new signposting resource designed to help people find the right support at the right time.

The resource covers a range of options, from advice on maintaining positive mental health and wellbeing, services if you’re struggling with more common issues, through to urgent help in a crisis.

Included in the resources are local Talking Therapies, which offer help for those dealing with anxiety, low mood, stress, and similar concerns. There’s also information on the South West Gambling Service, which supports individuals affected by gambling related harm. For urgent mental health support, individuals are encouraged to call NHS 111 and choose option 2 for mental health, or dial 999 if there is an immediate risk to life or safety.

The resources are available on our website here.
