Event date: 10 May 2024, 10:00 am to 11:30 am

Event location: Microsoft Teams

This free online course is aimed at pregnant people in the antenatal period – specifically 12-32 weeks gestation. It explores how we can manage our own emotional and mental wellbeing in pregnancy. It is not suitable for those with birth trauma, perinatal loss or significant complications within the perinatal period.

This is an online taught course for 4 weeks which runs in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part. We do encourage cameras to be turned on during sessions.

Internet access is required, and you will need to use Microsoft Teams to access this course.

Please note: If attendance of courses is fewer than 4 people it is felt that it may not be appropriate to continue with the course.

Topics covered include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and how our thoughts, beliefs and behaviours contribute to how we feel.
  • Physical symptoms of anxiety and breathing techniques
  • Understanding and managing our thoughts
  • Stress
  • Looking at our activity levels and balancing our week
  • Creating a wellbeing plan for yourself
