The course focuses on providing you with the knowledge and techniques to manage anxiety and low mood. There will also be opportunity for you to create a wellbeing plan.

Topics covered include:

  • Techniques for anxiety and depression
  • Behavioural activation (to help establish routine with baby in mind) and worry time
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques that can be used for anxiety management and in labour
  • Final session will include a wellbeing plan

 

Eligibility:

Suitable for anyone who is between 12 and 30 weeks pregnant (although no one will be excluded based on due date).

This course is not suitable for anyone who has experienced birth trauma, perinatal loss or significant complications in the perinatal period.

 

Course dates:

Session 1: 10th May, 10:00 - 11:30am

Session 2: 17th May, 10:00 - 11:30am

Session 3: 24th May, 10:00 - 11:30am

Session 4: 31st May, 10:00 - 11:30am

 

Important information: This course will be run via Microsoft Teams. You will not need to download or pay for this. The link will be sent to you prior to the course, where you can enter as a guest. Clear instructions will be sent to you in advance.  You will need to provide an e-mail address and have internet access with a microphone and be in a private space.

This course is open to people who are registered with a GP in the Wiltshire area.
